Waitlist. If you join our waitlist we collect your email address, the edition and computer type you pick, the referral tag in the link you used (for example ?ref=), if any, and the time you signed up.

Purchases (when sales open). Our payment processor will collect your name, shipping address, email and payment details. We will receive order details but not your full card number. We are not taking orders yet.

Technical data. Our website host (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to deliver the site. We do not store your IP address with your signup; a scrambled, short-lived counter (deleted after about 10 minutes) is used only to block spam.

The Ruckbrain drive itself works offline and does not send us your questions, photos or location.

To send waitlist updates, launch news and order emails; to fulfill orders and provide support; to keep the site secure; and to comply with the law (for example, tax records).

We email you only because you signed up. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, and we honor requests within 10 business days. You can also email [email protected] to be removed.

We share data only with service providers that work for us: website hosting and waitlist storage (Cloudflare), and, once they are in use, email delivery, payments and tax, and shipping providers. We also share it if the law requires.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use cookies, analytics, ad pixels or third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Our site does not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals, because we do not track you across other sites in the first place.

Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or 24 months after our last email to you, whichever comes first. Order records are kept as long as tax law requires.

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. California residents may have additional rights under California law, and we will honor them.

Ruckbrain is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We use reputable providers and access controls, but no system is perfectly secure.

We'll post changes here with a new effective date, and email you about material changes.
